When it comes to wellness, we often imagine the “restoration” part as ease, comfort, and relief. But in reality, restoration is often accompanied by uncomfortable body signals.
These sensations usually aren’t random or wrong — they’re signs of energy clearing, blockages breaking up, and your system finally making room for wellness to flow again.
These sensations usually aren’t random or wrong — they’re signs of energy clearing, blockages breaking up, and your system finally making room for wellness to flow again.
But most of us were never taught to listen to these signals or that they require surpression.
We Learned to Numb, Not Notice
From a young age, many of us were trained — intentionally or unintentionally — to silence our feelings.
Maybe you heard things like:
Maybe you heard things like:
- “Stop crying.”
- “Toughen up.”
- “There’s nothing to feel.”
- “Don’t be so sensitive.”
- “If you don’t stop crying, I’ll give you something to cry about.”
Hearing phrases like these over and over creates an internal belief that it isn’t safe to feel — physically or emotionally.
So as adults, we try to numb, push down, ignore, or “band-aid” our discomfort with quick fixes:

- Something for the headache
- Something for the anxious feelings
- Something for feeling overwhelmed
- Something to sleep
- Something to “get through the day”
But our body signals were never the enemy.
They are a normal, healthy response to something deeper happening within us.

“You Have to Feel It to Heal It”
I know feeling can feel scary — especially if you’ve spent most of your life trying not to.
But the truth is:
Feeling is the doorway to healing.
Not forcing.
Not ignoring.
Not numbing.
Simply Feeling.
Feeling is the doorway to healing.
Not forcing.
Not ignoring.
Not numbing.
Simply Feeling.
When we’re finally ready to listen to the messages our body and emotions are sending us, it's like learning a new language — a language that has been speaking to us the whole time.
What Happens When We Don’t Listen
When we suppress our emotional or physical signals long enough, they don’t go away — they get louder.
The body becomes more persistent.
The emotions become more intense.
The discomfort increases.
The emotions become more intense.
The discomfort increases.
Not because you’re broken, but because your inner system is trying to get your attention:
“Please slow down. Please notice me. I’m trying to help you.”
“Please slow down. Please notice me. I’m trying to help you.”
You Don’t Have to Do This Alone
Understanding your emotional and physical signals can feel like trying to decode a foreign language — especially if no one ever taught you how.
That’s where I come in.
I help faith-filled women learn to:
- Feel safely
- Listen without fear
- Understand the deeper message behind their discomfort
- Restore emotional peace and physical wellness through awareness, not avoidance
Feeling is not weakness.
Feeling is wisdom.
Feeling is healing.
Feeling is wisdom.
Feeling is healing.
